Judith Suminwa Tuluka closes 12th Expo Béton in DRC
Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka officially closed the 12th edition of Expo Béton, the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s premier annual construction and infrastructure event. Under the theme ‘Kinshasa, locomotive for the transformation of DRC cities,’ the summit focused on transitioning from theoretical discussions to concrete urban development.
During her closing remarks, the Prime Minister emphasized a shift toward immediate action, stating in Lingala, ‘Tolobi pe mingi, sik’oyo tosala’ (We have talked a lot, now let us act). She stressed that recommendations from the event must be implemented by sectoral ministries rather than remaining as mere documents. Key priorities include urban planning, land security, and preventing unregulated construction.
Jean Bamanisa Saïdi, president of the organizing committee, highlighted the need to move beyond panels and handshakes to foster real partnerships between public decision-makers, businesses, and investors. Through the International Business Connexion (IBC) framework, the event aimed to facilitate B2B and B2G meetings in sectors such as real estate, energy, logistics corridors, and professional training.
