Judo clubs achieve podium success in regional and national competitions

The Escola de Judo Vilafranca-Vilanova secured significant results at the Catalan Junior Championship held in Barcelona. Despite competing with a cadet-level team in a junior category, the club earned one gold, two silver, and one fifth-place medal. Guillem Ferrer claimed the gold medal in the -60 kg category, while Víctor Cabezas secured silver. In the female category, Yousra Abbou earned a silver medal after reaching the final.

At the Spanish Cadet Supercup, Judo Club Avilés earned two medals. Noé Rodríguez achieved a silver medal in the -66 kg category, and Nicolás Fernández took bronze in the -50 kg category. Coaches noted that while the medal count was modest relative to the size of the delegation, the performance showed significant individual progress and mental development among the athletes.
