Judo competitions see high participation in Brazil

Regional judo competitions in Brazil have seen significant participation and success. In Paraguaçu Paulista, the 11th Isaburo Suto Judo Tournament hosted over 400 athletes at the Sylvio Magalhães Padilha Sports Gymnasium. The event included representatives from ACEP Pompeia and served as a platform for athletes of various experience levels to compete.

In Mato Grosso, the Associação Primaverense de Judô (APJ) secured first place overall in the third stage of the Mato Grosso Judo Championship held in Dom Aquino. The team earned 65 podium finishes, including 19 gold medals. APJ also claimed the general championship in the Veterans category. Due to this performance, Primavera do Leste is set to host the state title decision in October 2026. Additionally, five young athletes from the municipality are representing Mato Grosso at the Brazilian School Games (JEBs) in Brasília.
