Judo tournament in Rondonópolis gathers 140 athletes

Approximately 140 athletes participated in the 1st Shiai entre Amigos do Judô held last weekend at the Minoro Training Center in Rondonópolis. The event included participants ranging from children in social projects to athletes from the Mato Grosso Judo Federation (FMTJ).

Competitions were organized into several categories, including Festival, Sub-11, Sub-13, Sub-15, Cadet, and Senior. In addition to local participants from Rondonópolis, athletes from Primavera do Leste also attended the tournament, which received support from the Rondonópolis City Hall through the Adjunct Secretariat of Sport and Leisure.

Sensei Anderson Vitor, a teacher for municipal social projects, noted that the event served as a platform for social development and personal growth, emphasizing that the discipline learned on the mat helps youth overcome real-world obstacles.
