Judy Foreman has released a new thriller titled ‘The Scallop Plot’, set in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The story follows investigative reporter Samantha Fuller and scallop fisherwoman Isabella Ferreira as they attempt to uncover a conspiracy involving wind farm development on Cape Cod.

The plot involves a developer, Olaf Svensson, who allegedly attempts to sabotage local scallop beds by using CRISPR gene-editing technology to introduce genes that cause paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP). The narrative explores the tensions between wind energy proponents and opponents, involving themes of climate denialism and corporate malpractice.
