Judy Sheindlin to retire from on-camera work after 30 years

Judy Sheindlin is retiring from on-camera television work after a 30-year career. The 83-year-old former Manhattan family court judge announced that her Prime Video series, ‘Judy Justice’, will conclude in October.

Sheindlin will transition into a production role for her son, Adam Levy, who is debuting his own syndicated courtroom program, ‘Adam’s Law’, on September 14. Sheindlin, who produced the original ‘Judge Judy’ series, expressed confidence in her son's ability to lead an unscripted half-hour program, noting that he has the talent required for the role.

Reflecting on her career, Sheindlin stated she no longer wishes to undergo the hair and makeup process required for filming but intends to keep her message active through production. She described her current state as being content, noting, ‘I don’t have to prove anything else. I did it.’
