Juergen Elitim leaves Legia Warszawa for Bursaspor

Colombian midfielder Juergen Elitim has left the Polish football club Legia Warszawa following a breakdown in contract negotiations. While both parties initially explored extending his stay, they could not reach an agreement due to financial disagreements.

Reports indicate that Elitim requested a salary of 1 million euros per year, a figure Legia Warszawa was unwilling to meet. Following the expiration of his contract in June 2026, the 27-year-old became a free agent and subsequently signed with the Turkish club Bursaspor.

Elitim spent three seasons with Legia Warszawa after joining from Watford in 2023. During his tenure, he made 108 appearances, scoring six goals and providing 15 assists, while winning one Polish Cup and two Super Cups.
