Jugal Hansraj joins Shekhar Kapur's 'Masoom: The New Generation' reimagining

Actor Jugal Hansraj has joined the cast of Shekhar Kapur’s upcoming film, "Masoom: The New Generation." The project is a contemporary reimagining of Kapur's 1983 classic, "Masoom."

Hansraj, who made his acting debut in the original film playing the role of Rahul, will reunite with original cast members Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi. Shah and Azmi are set to reprise their roles in this new chapter.

Director Shekhar Kapur described the reunion as "emotional and deeply fulfilling," noting that bringing Hansraj back alongside Shah and Azmi serves as a reminder of relationships that transcend cinema. Hansraj expressed excitement about the project, stating that the original film has remained a significant part of his identity for over 40 years.
