Jugend-Kloster to host diversity mosaic event in Kirchhellen

The Jugend-Kloster is organizing a community event titled ‘Mosaik der Vielfalt’ (Mosaic of Diversity) to be held at the Kirchhellen weekly market on Thursday, October 29. Part of the organization's autumn holiday program, the initiative invites children, youth, and market visitors to participate in creating a mosaic that represents societal diversity.

District Mayor Hendrik Dierichs expressed support for the project, noting that the market serves as a social space for community exchange. The event aims to encourage participants to reflect on their personal contributions to society and their expectations of others. Hildegard Kückelmann of the Jugend-Kloster emphasized that the project teaches children about individual responsibility within a community. The concept originated from a summer program called ‘Wirbelstadt,’ where children explored themes of democracy and social coexistence through play.
