Jugendtreff Mitterhofergasse celebrates 30th anniversary

The Jugendtreff Mitterhofergasse, commonly known as MIHO, celebrated its 30th anniversary on September 11. Located at the Dr. Franz Koch-Hof housing estate, the facility is operated by the Verein Wiener Jugendzentren.

Since the 1990s, the center has served approximately 1,000 young people annually, providing a space for children and adolescents to engage in leisure activities and receive support without the pressure of consumerism. During the anniversary celebration held on the ‘MIHO-Wiese’, Vice Mayor and Youth City Councilor Bettina Emmerling highlighted the importance of such spaces, noting that young people today face significant pressures and need environments where they can be heard.

The center has become a multi-generational fixture in the community, with the children of former visitors now utilizing its services.
