Jugoslav Trenčovski urges patience and unity as new Olimpija Ljubljana coach

Jugoslav Trenčovski, the newly appointed head coach of NK Olimpija Ljubljana, gave an extensive interview about his early days at the club. He explained his decision to return to Slovenia, citing a personal connection to the country and the club’s historic stature. Trenčovski highlighted the psychological state of the squad, noting a "mental block" among some players after a poor start to the season, and stressed that progress will require time, patience and unity among players and supporters.

He affirmed that Olimpija possesses sufficient quality to compete for the league title, but that new tactical structures and faster decision‑making must be implemented. The coach also previewed the upcoming match against NK Celje, which will be broadcast on Sport TV.
