Juist implements educational programs for children's rights and nature
The island of Juist maintains a dedicated annual program focused on children's rights and environmental education. Through initiatives such as the Nature Week for Children, the Children's Rights Week, and the Children's University, the island provides platforms for young people to engage with complex topics like sustainability and legal protections in an age-appropriate manner.
In alignment with World Children's Day, which is organized by the German section of UNICEF in cooperation with the Deutscher Kinderbund, these efforts aim to highlight the needs and rights of children. Beyond these specific events, Juist offers year-round educational activities through the Nationalpark-Haus and provides various amenities designed for families, including free animation programs and nature-based learning.
