Separately, during a campaign rally in Salvador, Bahia, President Lula addressed recent controversies regarding his comments on prostate cancer exams. He accused Deputy Nikolas Ferreira of distorting his words on social media and criticized him, calling him a ‘canalha’ (scoundrel). Lula clarified that he was attempting to compare male resistance to medical exams with the courage shown by women regarding gynecological screenings.
