JuJu Watkins returns to USC basketball after ACL injury

USC Trojans star guard JuJu Watkins made her return to the basketball court during an exhibition game against the California Golden Bears at the Galen Center. The game marked Watkins' first appearance in 580 days following a torn ACL suffered during the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

In 23 minutes of play, Watkins recorded 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks. She shot 6-for-14 from the field and was perfect from the free-throw line. The Trojans won the exhibition matchup 78-76.

Watkins, a former AP Player of the Year and Naismith College Player of the Year, missed the entire 2025-26 season due to her injury. Her return comes as the Trojans prepare for their regular season, which begins on November 2.
