Jujuy Advisory Council and UN Women advance gender violence prevention plan

The Ad Honorem Advisory Council held its second meeting to coordinate the Provincial Plan Against Gender Violence in Jujuy, Argentina. The session included participation from UN Women Argentina to provide technical support and a human rights perspective to the initiative.

Participants reviewed progress on the Strategic Plan for the Prevention and Eradication of Gender-Based Violence and Diversity 2026-2028. This plan aims to establish integrated guidelines and coordinated actions across various institutions. During the meeting, officials and civil society representatives emphasized the need for a specific budget and dedicated financial allocations to ensure the program can be effectively executed throughout the entire provincial territory.

The council serves as a platform for dialogue between the public sector and civil society to identify challenges and design comprehensive strategies to address gender-based violence.
