Jujuy and UNFPA renew partnership for youth and violence prevention

Governor Carlos Sadir of Jujuy met with regional and national officials from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) to renew an eight-year collaborative partnership focused on youth and violence prevention.

The meeting addressed strategic investments in adolescent and youth policies to promote sustainable development in the province. Key areas of focus include mental health, Comprehensive Sexual Education (ESI), prevention of unintended pregnancy, and the prevention of gender-based violence.

Officials highlighted the impact of REE-Sí (Red de Empoderamiento por la Educación Sexual Integral), an initiative promoting youth participation and best practices in sexual education. The program is slated to expand its reach to the Puna region through upcoming local alliances.
