Jujuy authorities coordinate with National Committee for the Prevention of Torture

Authorities in the province of Jujuy met with representatives from the National Committee for the Prevention of Torture to coordinate human rights protection policies. The meeting focused on following up on recommendations and strengthening monitoring and inspection processes for institutions involving persons deprived of liberty.

Normando Álvarez García, the Minister of Government, Justice, Human Rights, Labor, and Sports, described the session as a positive step toward ensuring rights and preventing abuses or discrimination. The visit by the National Committee includes official tours of various provincial institutions to monitor conditions and ensure compliance with human rights standards.
