Jujuy boosts police equipment while reviewing prison guard pay
The provincial Ministry of Security delivered a range of new equipment to the Jujuy police, including industrial kitchens, freezers, furniture, tools, and vehicles, to improve working conditions and operational capacity of units such as Cavalry, Infantry, Special Motorized Group, Border Group and the K9 unit. The hand‑over was led by Secretary of Security Carlos Gil Urquiola alongside senior security officials.
Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona ordered a financial review of a salary increase for penitentiary custodial staff. Major Official Noé Lara Enríquez chaired a meeting with prison‑staff representatives to assess the feasibility of the request and will conduct budget projections before reaching a decision.
