Jujuy celebrates cultural diversity and advances regional tourism initiatives

In Jujuy, Argentina, local authorities and various immigrant communities gathered at the Plaza de los Inmigrantes in San Salvador de Jujuy to celebrate Immigrant Day. The event honored the cultural contributions and historical impact of diverse groups, including representatives from Chile, Spain, Italy, France, Croatia, Armenia, Japan, Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Bolivia.

Simultaneously, municipalities within the Gran Jujuy region—including San Salvador de Jujuy, Yala, Palpalá, Perico, and San Antonio—are collaborating to enhance regional tourism. Through the Mesa de Articulación de Cultura y Turismo, officials are developing ‘Gran Jujuy 360 Web,’ a smart tourism platform designed to integrate the cultural, religious, and gaucho agendas of the various localities. The project is supported by technical academic guidance from the Universidad Nacional de Jujuy (UNJu) to promote the region as a competitive, integrated destination.
