Jujuy government continues health infrastructure investments

The Government of Jujuy is continuing its investment in public health infrastructure, focusing on the Dr. Wenceslao Gallardo Hospital in Palpalá and various Primary Health Care (CAPS) centers.

In 2025, the Gallardo Hospital received its largest infrastructure investment since transitioning to public management in 1999. Ongoing works in 2026 include renovations to the kitchen, ceilings in inpatient and primary care areas, and improvements to medical clinics, operating rooms, and gynecology wards. These upgrades cover sanitary systems, hot water, and general maintenance to improve service functionality and community response.

Simultaneously, several primary care centers are undergoing improvements. Renovations have been completed in the Carolina and 18 de Noviembre neighborhoods, as well as the Florida CAPS, which received new electrical systems, masonry, painting, and IT equipment. In the rural area of El Remate, a comprehensive remodeling included new ceilings, a nursing consultation room, a new bathroom, and updated electrical and internet connectivity.
