Jujuy Governor discusses strategic role in Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor
Governor Carlos Sadir led a workshop in Jujuy, organized alongside the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), to analyze the opportunities and challenges presented by the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor.
The session focused on regional integration, the development of local suppliers, and the strengthening of value chains. Sadir highlighted the strategic importance of Jujuy within the corridor, noting that while the mining sector holds significant potential, there is a critical need to promote other economic activities to diversify the provincial productive matrix.
Efforts are underway to consolidate Jujuy as a central hub for regional commercial and productive integration. This includes leveraging the presence of the Iquique Free Zone office and working toward establishing a connection with Mato Grosso, Brazil, while continuing to improve road connectivity and infrastructure.
