Jujuy Governor distributes forage to Puna livestock producers

The Governor of Jujuy, Carlos Sadir, has led the distribution of alfalfa to municipalities and municipal commissions in the Puna region to assist livestock producers. The initiative aims to mitigate the effects of drought, scarcity of natural pastures, and low temperatures on local production systems.

Coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Development and Production, the assistance targets producers of camelids, sheep, and goats. The current climatic conditions have reduced water and food availability, threatening the livelihoods of families dependent on livestock activity in the area. Sadir stated that the province will continue to provide support as long as the drought persists, with several trucks of forage already dispatched to the northern part of the province.
