Jujuy Insurance Institute Leads Diabetes Management Workshop in Salta

David Arias, president of the Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ), took part in a workshop on outpatient Type 2 diabetes management held in Salta as part of the monthly meeting of the Consejo de Obras y Servicios Sociales Provinciales de la República Argentina (COSSPRA). The event aimed to improve the quality of life for diabetic patients while ensuring the financial sustainability of provincial preventive health programs.

Arias highlighted the growing global trend of overweight and obesity as a warning for health systems and stressed the need to shift toward early diagnosis and integration of diabetes patients into provincial control and monitoring plans, citing the Jujuy DIABESNOA initiative. He said the province will work on joint organizational models to identify, map and monitor affiliates with cardiovascular risk.
