Jujuy launches Juegos Forja sports competition

The Government of Jujuy has launched the 2026 Juegos Forja, a provincial sporting event designed to promote inclusion and development among youth, seniors, and people with disabilities. The competition began with track and field qualifying events at the RIM 20 facility, featuring more than 500 athletes.

Organized by the provincial Secretariat of Sports, the games cover 51 disciplines, including both conventional and adapted sports. The initiative spans various regions of the province, with representatives from more than 15 municipalities participating from the Puna to the Yungas.

The primary objective of the Juegos Forja is to serve as a qualifying stage to select the provincial delegation that will represent Jujuy at the national Juegos Evita in Mar del Plata this November. The competitions are scheduled to continue through October.
