Jujuy Legislature refers Minister Posadas to prosecutor

The Jujuy Legislature has decided to refer the transcript of a recent interpellation of Minister of Culture and Tourism, Carlos Federico Posadas, to the prosecutor's office for investigation. The session, presided over by Vice Governor Alberto Bernis, involved 45 deputies questioning the minister on various aspects of his administration.

Key points of contention included financial inconsistencies regarding the La Renga festival, specifically regarding reported earnings and the lack of costs for using the Ciudad Cultural. Additionally, lawmakers raised concerns regarding public contracts, digital advertising tenders, and alleged payments made to the minister's wife, Valentina Moisés. While Posadas denied direct hiring by his ministry, he acknowledged a 2020 contract through the Social Development department.

Questions were raised not only by the opposition but also by members of the ruling coalition, who requested full documentation to clarify the allegations. The referral to the prosecutor's office is a request for investigation into the claims made during the session and does not constitute a formal indictment.
