Jujuy Ministry of Education assigns time slots for school enrollment
The Ministry of Education of Jujuy has implemented a specialized system to manage high demand for first-year secondary school placements for the 2027 academic cycle. For the 22 institutions experiencing overdemand, the Ministry has assigned a specific “moment”—a precise date, hour, minute, and second—to each school.
To allocate vacancies, an algorithm will match these school-specific moments with the exact timestamps recorded when families completed their digital pre-registrations. This process prioritizes students with disabilities, siblings of current students, honor students, and children of school staff before the remaining spots are distributed via the timestamp proximity method.
Results for the assigned vacancies will be announced on November 6. A second phase of pre-registration is scheduled from November 17 to November 19. Additionally, an evaluative stage will take place on October 29 for 16 institutions that face historical overdemand.
