Jujuy officials address fiscal land management and Tilcara land dispute

In Jujuy, the Secretary of Territorial Planning and Habitat (SECOTyH) met with provincial deputies to discuss the management of fiscal lands and housing regularization. Officials detailed protocols for controlling and recovering irregular land occupations, including legal actions against the unauthorized sale or rental of state lots.

The SECOTyH highlighted the ‘Mi lote, en regla’ program, which aims to facilitate land titling and provide legal security to families meeting specific requirements. This initiative is part of a broader effort to coordinate actions between the provincial government and municipalities to manage territorial planning and housing needs.

Separately, in Tilcara, the local mayor faces scrutiny following the reported transfer of a one-hectare fiscal lot to a private individual without a public tender or consultation with the Deliberative Council. Local officials have requested reports from various agencies and indicated they may pursue criminal charges to ensure transparency regarding the use of municipal assets.
