Jujuy prosecutors join Interpol operation against child abuse networks

The Ministerio Público de la Acusación (MPA) of Jujuy, Argentina, participated in a major international investigation coordinated by Interpol to dismantle networks involved in the distribution and sale of child sexual abuse material via digital platforms and cryptocurrencies.

Led by prosecutor Pablo Martín de Tezanos Pinto, the local operations included raids and the seizure of electronic devices to identify individuals linked to these networks. This intervention was part of a global deployment conducted between March and September 2026, spanning 17 countries across Latin America and Europe.

The international effort resulted in 95 arrests and the execution of 127 search warrants. Notable outcomes included the rescue of a five-year-old child in Colombia and the detention of a suspect in Argentina accused of sexual extortion involving more than 260 girls globally. Authorities are currently analyzing seized digital evidence to identify further suspects and protect potential victims.
