Jujuy Province launches implementation plan for Argentina's Mediation Law

Governor Carlos Sadir of Jujuy and national Justice Minister Juan Bautista Mahiques presented the Provincial Implementation Plan for Law No. 6353, which introduces mediation as a fast, dialogue‑based tool to resolve disputes and improve access to justice. The event in the historic Cabildo of Jujuy also featured the signing of an institutional cooperation agreement that links the province to the National Program for the Prevention and Fight against Micro‑Drug Trafficking (PRONADEM). Sadir emphasized the importance of joint work between the nation and the province, saying "the joint work between Nation and Province is important" and noting that training and modernization bring justice closer to citizens. Mahiques highlighted that this was the first national Ministry of Justice training on mediation, praising the collaboration and the role of mediation in building a more accessible justice system.

The plan aims to strengthen institutional capacities, expand mediation services, and support ongoing anti‑micro‑trafficking efforts in Jujuy’s border area, marking a coordinated push toward more efficient, community‑focused legal processes.
