Jujuy renews health cooperation agreement with PAHO
The government of Jujuy has renewed a technical cooperation agreement with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for an additional two years. The partnership aims to strengthen the provincial health system by focusing on primary care, disease prevention, immunization, mental health, and maternal-infant health.
Under this agreement, Jujuy will serve as a pilot province in Argentina for a PAHO strategy designed to prevent the transmission of HIV, syphilis, and other infections during pregnancy and childbirth. The collaboration includes technical support, team training, and the implementation of improved health information systems to increase service accessibility across the territory.
