Jujuy reports nine traffic fatalities during August

At least nine people died in various traffic accidents across the Jujuy province during the month of August. The incidents occurred on national and provincial routes, urban areas, and internal roads.

Key incidents included a head-on collision on Provincial Route 42 near Monterrico on August 9, which killed a man in his 30s, and a pedestrian fatality on National Route 66 in Palpalá on August 13. One of the most severe accidents occurred on August 16 on National Route 52 at Cuesta de Lipán, where a vehicle fell into a ravine; this resulted in two deaths, including a woman who later died from her injuries at Hospital Pablo Soria.

Other fatalities included a motorcyclist struck by a truck on National Route 34 near Calilegua on August 18, a motorcyclist who fell into a ravine on Provincial Route 73 on August 22, and a 28-year-old driver involved in a rollover on an internal road between Santa Catalina and Cieneguillas.
