Jujuy hosts forum to combat gender violence and discrimination

In Jujuy, Argentina, the Provincial Council of Women, Gender Equality, and Respect for Diversities held the Foro Jujuy Igualitario, bringing together representatives from nearly 40 municipalities. Led by president Lourdes Navarro and director Franco Dorado, the forum focused on exchanging experiences and training staff to prevent and eradicate gender violence and discrimination.

The initiative aims to strengthen the territorial assistance network by providing information on multidisciplinary intervention teams composed of social workers, lawyers, and psychologists to ensure access to support services across the province.

Separately, in Caleta Olivia, the Provincial Council of Education and the Municipality signed an agreement to ensure integral cleaning services in local schools through December. The agreement includes a budget increase to provide personnel and supplies for classrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
