Jules Verne 200 exhibition arrives in Athens
To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of science fiction pioneer Jules Verne, the Hellenic Cosmos Cultural Center is hosting the international interactive exhibition ‘Jules Verne 200: The Thrilling Experience’. Athens serves as a key stop in this global tour, which is scheduled to conclude in Paris in 2028.
The exhibition utilizes advanced technology to blend fantasy and adventure. Key features include 360-degree immersive projections, including a 25-minute film that transports visitors from the ocean depths to the center of the Earth and the Moon.
Visitors can also engage with VR 360 experiences that trace Verne’s life from his birthplace in Nantes to the locations that inspired his literature. Additionally, a ‘Free Roaming VR’ experience, titled MetaVern, allows participants to walk through Verne’s fictional landscapes and interact with life-sized inventions and machines.
