Julia Esther Calleros, Entre Ríos provincial deputy, dies at 59

Julia Esther Calleros, a provincial deputy for the Entre Ríos Chamber of Deputies, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, at the age of 59. She died while hospitalized at the Jeannot Sueyro sanatorium in Gualeguaychú.

Calleros had an extensive political and union career, notably with the Unión Argentina de Trabajadores Rurales y Estibadores (UATRE). She was a leader of the Partido Fe and represented the Gualeguaychú department. Although she was elected in 2023 as part of the La Libertad Avanza list, she later distanced herself from Javier Milei’s party and joined the Fe y Libertad bloc, aligning more closely with the administration of Rogelio Frigerio.

During her mandate, which began in December 2023, she focused on social, labor, rural, and health initiatives, including the promotion of laws regarding rural neighborhood associations.
