Following the testimony of another young person who only secured housing through inheritance, Janeiro expressed her concern regarding the current real estate market. She stated that “it breaks my heart” to see the situation and highlighted that an entire generation of young people, despite working and making significant efforts, is unable to afford basic housing without family assistance or inheritance. She emphasized that her comments are not an attempt at easy rhetoric but a necessary discussion regarding the difficulty of accessing both rental and purchase markets in the country.
