Julia Klöckner shares retrospective photos on Instagram

German politician Julia Klöckner has shared a photographic retrospective on Instagram, comparing her current appearance to a photo from 24 years ago when she first entered the Bundestag.

Klöckner, who currently serves as President of the Bundestag, noted that while technology and communication have become faster and more immediate, the original remains best. In her post, she reflected on the differences between 2002 and today, mentioning the absence of Instagram and artificial intelligence during her initial entry into parliament.

Her career path included serving as the German Wine Queen in the mid-1990s and working as an editor for various magazines following her studies in theology, political science, and pedagogy. She joined the Young Union at age 25 and first became a CDU member of the Bundestag in 2002.
