Julia Roberts and Paul Rudd to star in Broadway production

Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, and Sarah Paulson are set to star in the Broadway production of ‘Small Mouth Sounds’, written by Bess Wohl. The play, described as an experimental near-silent comedy, is scheduled to begin previews on February 18, with an official opening on March 18 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York.

The production is directed by Joe Mantello and produced by Scott Rudin and Barry Diller. The cast also includes Martin Freeman, Greta Lee, and Isaac Powell. The story follows six strangers at a silent retreat, exploring the challenges of maintaining silence while attempting to transform their lives.

This marks Roberts' first return to Broadway in 20 years. The production features a high-profile creative team, including Tony Award-winning set designer Chloe Lamford, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, and lighting designer Jack Knowles.
