Julia Simon evaluates performance at Munich Loop One Festival
French biathlete Julia Simon has shared her reflections following the Loop One Festival in Munich, Germany. Despite some frustration regarding her performance on the flat sections of the course on Saturday, Simon expressed satisfaction with her technical progress and her work on skis.
Simon noted that the flat terrain is not her preferred style, but she viewed the event as a valuable learning experience. After a demanding October training block involving altitude and high volume, she admitted to feeling physical fatigue but remains positive about her preparation.
Reflecting on the conclusion of the previous Olympic cycle, Simon explained that she required a period of rest this spring to recover from the intense pressure and energy required for four years of preparation. She is now focused on the upcoming French selections in November and the start of the World Cup in Kontiolahti on November 26.
