Julia Strada criticizes Argentine economic policy in Necochea

National Deputy Julia Strada delivered a lecture titled “Orden Macro o Tierra Arrasada” (Macro Order or Scorched Earth) at the Centro Cultural y Biblioteca Popular Andrés Ferreyra in Necochea. Addressing a large audience of residents and activists, Strada criticized the current national government's economic direction.

Strada argued that Argentina is becoming a “warehouse for imports” and warned of the irreversible closure of entire productive chains, specifically citing the synthetic rubber and tire industries. She linked the decline in industrial production to a loss of purchasing power and rising household debt, which she described as a reflection of the difficulties families face in meeting daily expenses.

During her presentation, the economist questioned the government's narrative regarding macroeconomic stability, stating that economic indicators do not support the claim that such order has been achieved. The event was organized by the local Justicialist Party.
