Juliaca infrastructure criticized during city centennial
Lawyer Denis Anaya has criticized the lack of large-scale infrastructure projects in Juliaca during the city's centennial year. He argued that the San Román Provincial Municipality failed to implement projects capable of modernizing the city, noting that small-scale paving projects do not address the primary needs of the population.
Anaya highlighted the absence of emblematic initiatives in sectors such as transportation, urban modernization, and commercial spaces. He further criticized the Puno Regional Government for failing to deliver impactful projects in health, education, security, and commercial development, specifically citing the uncompleted Maternal and Child Hospital.
According to Anaya, many current works are merely carry-overs from previous administrations rather than new, transformative interventions. He concluded by assigning a grade of zero to the provincial administration's performance regarding major works and stated that citizens should evaluate these political shortcomings in upcoming elections.
