Julian Alvarez linked to Arsenal amid Atletico Madrid squad omission

Speculation regarding Julian Alvarez’s future at Atletico Madrid has intensified following his omission from the club’s recent traveling squad. The Argentine forward has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, who are reportedly looking to bolster their attacking options.

Reports suggest Arsenal has identified Alvarez as a primary target, with his valuation estimated at approximately €150 million. During the summer transfer window, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid reportedly discussed a potential deal that could have involved a swap deal including striker Viktor Gyökeres. While Gyökeres remains at Arsenal for now, the discussions indicate he is not considered untouchable by manager Mikel Arteta.

In addition to Alvarez, Arsenal is also reportedly monitoring Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi as a potential attacking reinforcement, though Kroupi is currently recovering from a metatarsal fracture.
