Julianne Hough to star in Broadway revival of Damn Yankees

Julianne Hough is set to star in a Broadway revival of the musical ‘Damn Yankees’, scheduled to open in April 2027. The Emmy Award winner and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ co-host will take on the role of Lola, a character originally performed by Gwen Verdon.

Hough will perform alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Austin Scott in the first production of the musical in over 30 years. Discussing the transition, Hough noted that her extensive background in ballroom dance will assist her in the iconic role and expressed that the opportunity is an “honor” and “privilege” for her career.
