Julianne Moore renovates Manhattan duplex in West Village
Actor Julianne Moore and her husband, film director Bart Freundlich, have moved into a two-bedroom duplex located in Manhattan’s West Village. The residence is situated atop a 1920s building that originally functioned as a residential hotel.
The apartment underwent an eight-month renovation led by architectural designer Oliver Freundlich, Moore’s brother-in-law. Freundlich noted that most of the updates were cosmetic, involving the installation of a kitchen pantry, a bedroom closet, and the integration of both vintage and new furnishings.
The interior features a mix of styles, including mid-century French chairs and vintage lighting, designed to maintain functionality while preserving the space's character.
