Julianne Moore to receive Golden Icon Award at Zurich Film Festival

Actress Julianne Moore will be presented with the Golden Icon Award at the 22nd Zurich Film Festival. The honor recognizes her extraordinary career and her performance in the film ‘The Debut’.

Directed by Jesse Eisenberg, ‘The Debut’ marks the second collaboration between Moore and Eisenberg. In the film, Moore portrays Mona Friedman, a housewife who transforms into a dedicated method actor after being cast in a small community theater role.

Christian Jungen, CEO of the Zurich Film Festival, described Moore as one of the “outstanding character actresses of American cinema,” noting her versatility and ability to captivate audiences through intense portrayals.
