Juliano Cazarré defends masculinity event amid criticism
Brazilian actor Juliano Cazarré has released a video statement on social media to defend his recent event, ‘O Farol e a Forja’, which focused on masculinity, fatherhood, and faith. The event, held in São Paulo, drew approximately 600 attendees.
Cazarré denied allegations that the project promoted ‘masculinist’ agendas or male supremacy. He clarified that no lectures during the event disparaged women, stating the goal was to encourage better behavior in men, reduce paternal absence, and improve family engagement.
The actor also addressed recent criticisms from a professional colleague, implying Eduardo Moscovis without naming him. The tension stems from Moscovis’s comments regarding the comparison of violence against men and women. Cazarré defended his previous use of homicide statistics in a debate, arguing that his words were misinterpreted and questioning why he is being blamed for violence against women instead of government authorities.
