Juliano Floss threatens legal action over AI deepfake video

Influencer and dancer Juliano Floss has announced intentions to take legal action after becoming a victim of a sexually explicit deepfake video. The AI-generated content depicts Floss in intimate scenes with fellow former Big Brother Brasil 26 participant Jonas Sulzbach.

Floss stated on social media that he is identifying the individuals responsible for the creation and distribution of the video, asserting that the act is a crime. He emphasized that digital anonymity does not prevent legal accountability.

Under the Brazilian Penal Code, the production and dissemination of non-consensual intimate imagery and the use of montages to place individuals in sexual contexts are punishable offenses. Current legislation allows for detention and fines, and there are ongoing legislative efforts in the Brazilian Congress, such as PL 3.821/2024 and PL 212/2026, aimed at specifically addressing and tightening penalties for AI-generated deepfakes.
