Julie Ollivier, a 28-year-old woman who had filed complaints against French media personality Cauet, died by suicide on Monday, according to the association MeToo Media.
Ollivier had filed a complaint in November 2023, alleging that Cauet had raped her for the first time in 2014 in Geneva when she was 16 years old. She also reported other incidents occurring through 2022. Her legal counsel, Helin Köse, expressed immense sadness, noting Ollivier’s courage in speaking out.
