Julien Doré disappointed as French Ecaussystème festival cancelled over heat risk

French singer Julien Doré was set to appear at the 24th edition of the Ecaussystème festival in Gignac, scheduled for July 31–August 2. A prefectural order cancelled the event because of an unusually high risk of forest fires linked to an extreme heat wave and drought conditions.

Doré shared his disappointment on Instagram, thanking the festival volunteers, staff and fans. The cancellation follows a series of summer event disruptions across France caused by the severe heatwave, which has also led to forest fires and evacuations in several regions.
