Juliet Hasana-Moneme unveils FCT economic empowerment plan

Dr. Juliet Hasana-Moneme, the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) senatorial aspirant for Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has unveiled an economic empowerment agenda focused on women and vulnerable groups.

During a media engagement organized by the League of Anambra Journalists in Abuja, Moneme pledged to prioritize skills acquisition, access to credit, and sustainable financing schemes. She emphasized moving away from one-off handouts toward long-term financial independence. To achieve this, she proposed a revolving-fund model where beneficiaries repay resources to support other residents.

Moneme also plans to establish a structured database covering the six area councils, wards, and communities within the FCT. This database is intended to capture information regarding residents' skills and needs, allowing for more effective, data-driven empowerment programs and connections to available opportunities.
