Juliette Freire cuts digital ties with acquaintance over social media dispute

Singer and influencer Juliette Freire has unfollowed Felipe Pinto on Instagram following a controversial social media exchange. The dispute arose after Pinto, the husband of one of Freire’s wedding bridesmaids, commented on a post by influencer Mariana Brito regarding the documentary episode ‘A Guerra à Santa’, part of the ‘Revelando’ project.

In his comment, Pinto suggested that political interests were driving the project's content, stating, ‘The PT is throwing money everywhere. And those who sell themselves will start to appear around there.’ The remark was interpreted as an insinuation that Freire had accepted political funds for her participation in the documentary, which addresses religious intolerance and statements by Bishop JB Carvalho.

Following the incident, Pinto issued a public apology via an open letter, claiming he had spoken with Freire privately and that he never intended to attack her or imply she had received illicit payments.
